About 15 years ago I did almost this exact thing as an exercise with a social studies class of mine - how many busses would it take? How much gas and the cost of that gas? How many drivers and their wages? How long wouid it take to gather up everyone? How much food would it take to keep all those people fed on their trip? Where would they all go to the bathroom? It didn't take long for my students to learn how utterly stupid the idea of "sending them back" really was.
